Attention Propane Users: If you're using propane, make sure to complete and submit the Modesto Fire Department Permit (LPG Food Vendor Permit). Click Here to get started.
IMPORTANT RULES:
Own setup, own items! Bring your own tables, chairs, tents, and anything else you need for your booth.
Remember, unattended vehicles during load-in will disqualify vendors from future events. Having a booth buddy is a game-changer!
By participating, you agree to adhere to these rules for everyone's safety and enjoyment, following city ordinances and permissions.
Load-out Tip: Keep it swift! Load-out should wrap up within an hour. If you need more time, enlist some helpers for a speedy market closure.
LIGHTING:
Brighten Up Your Booth: Ensure your booth shines bright like a diamond with battery-powered or rechargeable lights. Dark booths won't cut it, especially if you want to be considered for future markets. No fairy twinkle lights, please!
LOAD-IN AND LOAD-OUT PROTOCOL:
Load-in begins at 3PM and you have until 4:45 PM to set up your booth, please make sure you have any vechicles off the street before 4:45 PM. If we see any vechicles still parked on the closed off streets they will be towed. The market begins at 5 PM sharp.
If you are running late (please do not run late) but if so please text our market manager and let her know. You can text her here: 209-614-4325.
All vehicles must face one direction as assigned in your load-in instructions (bottom of page). You are helping us turn the street into a one-way street for better vehicular flow. This applies to the beginning and the end of the market. Any vehicles left unattended during load-in and load-out will disqualify vendors from future events. Having a booth buddy works wonders!
“Hot Potato”— vehicles on the street are like hot potatoes, and we want to get them off the street and parked somewhere else as quickly as we can! This allows vendors to get to their own spots that your vehicle may block. So pull up, dump your goods, and boogie onward! At the end of the night, only pull your vehicle in when your items are packed and ready to load in.
Teardown and load-out may not begin before the end of the event at 9 PM.
Keep it swift! Load-out should wrap up within an hour. If you need more time, enlist some helpers for a speedy market closure.
Tidy Territory: Keep your space spick and span! Dispose of waste properly to ensure future market participation.
PARKING WISDOM:
Street parking is free after 6 pm, but we recommend using City parking garages for ease. Here’s our Downtown Parking Guide for you diligent planners:
LIGHTING AND ELECTRICAL ETIQUETTE:
Let's keep it low-key on the electrical front. Battery-operated equipment is preferred, and generators are discouraged unless arrangements are made with the Market Manager. Please consider all avenues internally before making a request for accommodations through public works.
YOUR BANK:
Come prepared with your own bank for cash transactions. We don’t want to inconvenience surrounding businesses or other vendors with requests for change.
RESTROOMS/WATER ACCESS:
Here are some nearby spots for your convenience:
Slides (corner of J and 10th Streets, west)
Fuzio (at 10th Street Plaza)
Rancho Fresco Cantina (10th Street between I and J Streets)
Please avoid using the restroom at CheRoot Cigar Lounge, per their request.
