Mariachi Vargas de Tecalitlán, often referred to simply as Mariachi Vargas, stands as an iconic institution within the mariachi music genre, earning its reputation as the best mariachi ensemble in the world through a rich history of innovation, talent, and tradition. Enormously popular at the Gallo Center, they have appeared here four times previously—and this time, a special guest is coming with them.

Born into "La Dinastía Aguilar" (The Aguilar Dynasty), Aguilar's father is the legendary Pepe Aguilar and his sister is Ángela Aguilar, both of whom have performed sold out concerts at the Center.
