Journey invites audiences to explore the ties that bind us across generations through the art of folk dance. Inspired by Elder Cook’s “Roots and Branches” metaphor, this production by the BYU International Folk Dance Ensemble celebrates the enduring connections between past, present, and future. Each dance becomes a living memory—a tribute to those who came before and a gift to those yet to come. In a world often marked by isolation, Journey reminds us that true belonging extends beyond our immediate circles. Through music, movement, and story, the Ensemble embodies gratitude, resilience, and joy—revealing that when we dance with our ancestors in heart and spirit, we are never alone.
